Keeping the light shining

In our current world, there is a lot of darkness, events happening which are not good for us or our planet, for example. If you work with martial arts of healing energies you will most probably know how to surround yourself with light. We all have a spark of light within us and learning to use it is quite easy. Filling yourself with light is easy to do too. If you are a druid you will most likely know how to do this.

Sit quietly or lie down and imagine energy, light energy coming up through your feet from the earth. Let it fill each toe and all of your feet and then imagine the light energy moving up through your legs and into your lower body. As it moves up through your body let the light energy fill your arms as well right down to your fingertips. Then let the light energy rise into your head until you are totally filled with light. Let the light radiate our from your body and shine brightly. You can bring light in from the sky too doing the same and you can use both ways together. There are lots of other ways to bring in the light to your body so do explore this.

People are drawn to the light like moths to a flame so know that you will attract others to you. They may need help or they might want to not help so be careful who you let into your light. Mostly it will be those needing help and/or reassurance that the world is not as it seems. If enough of us shine out brightly then when there is enough of us, that is, more than those in the darkness then our world will change. At the moment we are keeping a lot of the darkness away or changing it into light. Stand out with your light. You could be the lighthouse for someone in great need.

Hope

‘Hope springs eternal’ are well known words. But this last week has brought a lot of hope to the world. I have seen the snowdrops coming into bloom and that is showing me that spring is on the way, new life is ahead and there is hope for a better world. But what really resonated with me this last week were the word so of Amanda Gorman and the inauguration of Joe Biden as President. The poem is about and for America but the words can be relevant in any society. And those words were powerful.

The last three lines of Amanda’s poem were as follows;

For there is always light,
if only we’re brave enough to see it.
If only we’re brave enough to be it.

I don’t really need to write any more as those few words say it all. Fill yourselves with light and shine out so you are seen. Be the lighthouse for someone who needs help. Be a beacon of Light. Shine out!

Looking beyond current events

With all the turmoil, climate change and a spreading virus, many people are worrying, feeling lost and hurt both physically and emotionally. There is panic and fear about what might happen next. It is time to stop worying and feeling fear and stand back and look at the overall picture.

Yes, floods and fires cause a lot of damage and people feel hurt and lot by it all. Many are worried about catching this virus that is spreading around the world. But if you think about everything as a whole event, then you can see that the infrastructure of towns, cities and countries is starting to crumble. Those in power are starting to lose that power. The people are starting to rebel. Over the last few decades and centuries even, the rich have got richer and the poor have got poorer. Will this ever change?

I try to keep politics out of my blogs but I was told in meditation to speak my truth even though some will not like what I am about to say. We have to get rid of the old to make way for the new. This is hurting many people but continuing as we are will also hurt many more. We are on the edge of a new world. If you work with your light body in some way or spend time filling yourself with light then now is the time. Stand tall and strong with your body full of light, shining out into the world and so helping others to see this light and go and find it for themselves. If you work with any form of healing energy then use it to send out peace and love to all on the planet, even those who are causing the trouble. The light are winning. Take heart and join with them to see the change that our world needs. Do not be afraid. At a higher level all is as it should be and all will end well with a world that is fit for all. Stand tall and shine out like a beacon!

The return of the light

It will soon be the Winter Solstice, the shortest day of the year. After that the days will start to get a bit longer and the dark nights a bit shorter. I am really looking forward to that as I don’t deal with short dark days and long dark nights very well. I need lots of light in order to function.

Many cultures celebrate the return of the light at this time of the year so I like to join them and celebrate too. The return of the light is a very common theme. I wonder how our ancestors felt at this time of the year. Yet although the days will be longer, here in the UK winter is still to come although we have had a frosty snowy week just now. January and February are often the months when we get snow and lots of ice. But we often also get beautiful clear blue skies and lots of sunshine as well.

This last week here has been one of snow, more snow, rain and then ice. There is still some snow lingering on the grass and roads but there is also a lot of ice making it difficult for me to go out and enjoy the local nature reserve. I have missed this but I have enjoyed looking at the photos of those who could get there. The pools were frozen over some days and the ducks and swans went skating.

So I am really looking forward to the return of the light and will be celebrating this as will many others, alone while some will be celebrating in groups. However you celebrate the return of the light I wish you a wonderful day and a good year to come.
